Item arrived as a hideous chemical-smelling shiny polyester plastic blend. Me: excuse me but what tf is this circus costume? Seller: we got especially for you, shine make your hair shine. The fact that the Chinese sellers no longer even give a passing fuck about disguising their lack of grasp on the English language on products for English speaking consumers makes for some truly hilarious product descriptions and instruction manuals. This is happening with Etsy too, which is disappointing. It’s hard for me to trust, even when the seller’s location is in the US.

I remember back in Blood Inside Me You Can’t Scare Me I Work For Amazon Shirt day you’d order something online that was supposed to be a legit brand or at least non-Chinese made, and sometimes you’d notice some subtle grammatical errors in the manual and go Hah! I caught you! But it was cheaper and the product is decent enough, so whatever. I ordered an ugly Christmas sweater from Amazon. Or so I thought. What arrived was a white polyester shirt with a picture of the sweater printed on the front. In hindsight, it’s absolutely hilarious. But I sent the shirt back to get a refund because it was way too expensive to keep it. I paid almost $40 for that shit lol. Also, it smelled like a dead rat soaked in bleach.
